That solves part of the problem. But people need to remember that the passwords are clearly not stored securely. That's not a problem as long as you're aware of it. As previously stated on it's own there is very little damamge that can be done with that password. But it's important to use something that's not going to cause you a problem if it is intercepted.

It's a standard feature of the mailman software. You can turn off the
password reminders if you wish. Go to
http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/liverpool and log in using the
bottommost field on the form. Then the password reminder option is about
halfway down the list of options.
