Hello,
Don't suppose there was a writeup of this talk? I really
wanted to attend, but wasn't able to.
I'm currently working towards
installing X10 at home and would like to hear others perspective.

nearer so why not come along to Liverpool Linux User Group and forget
about the October weather for a little while. This month we have a talk
by our very own Neil Bothwick on X10 home automation [2].

Neil: "X10 is a hardware control protocol that passes signals over the
mains electrical circuit. This talk will look at how hardware and
software can interact using the X10 protocol to control equipment in the
home, either automatically through scripts or interactively through a
web interface or mobile phone."

"Pimp My House" type affair, but rest assured Tim Westwood will not be
invited and I doubt he'll turn up of his own accord :)

convene from 7pm but the talk begins at 7:30pm. Afterwards we'll
probably retire to The Shipping Forecast for more discussion over
drinks. So come and join us. Everyone is welcome and meetings are always
friendly and informal.
