Sorry for the late reminder, but this month's LUG meeting is this
Wednesday. This is a week for making decisions that will affect our
future, whether to move to a different meeting venue. We have an option
to meet at DoES instead of the LSC, as recently discussed. So we will be
meeting at DoES this month so that those who have never seen it before
can make an informed decision.
The meeting will be a normal one, we can discuss the move later, after
assessing the suitability of DoES and the local "facilities". So we will
still be having a talk this month. As more distros are switching to
systemd, such as the recently released Ubuntu 15.04 and Debian 8, Neil
Bothwick will be giving an introduction to systemd, that will concentrate
on the practicalities of using it and completely avoid anything to do
with the politics behind the distro choices.
We will be there from around 7pm with the talk starting at about 7:30.
DoES is in the Gostins Building on Hanover Street, you can find more
details at http://doesliverpool.com/location/ - there is parking
available nearby on Duke Street.
As always, this is a completely open event, anyone can come along,
whatever their experience with Linux, we really are a friendly bunch, even
if we say so ourselves.
