Hi, somehow I found the Liverpool LUG info, however I'm still struggling to find a meeting schedule and the addresses where the meetings commence. I've been to several LUG's in the USA and would love to get involved with a UK LUG.

Hello all,
It's 2 weeks until our next LivLUG meeting and I wanted to see if anyone is willing to give a talk? There's nothing planned at the moment and all suggestions are welcome. Even if it's just topics you want to hear about and then we can try to find a speaker who can enlighten us.
If you are considering giving a talk yourself but aren't sure it's worth remembering the following. It doesn't have to be massively techy, we're a friendly bunch and very welcoming. We aren't expecting some rehearsed masterpiece with a dozen detailed slides, it can just be an informal talk or perhaps a demo of some software or hardware you've been using that you want to share.
Many conferences have what they term a "call for papers" when people submit ideas, so you can consider this a call for papers I suppose.
I've given a few talks and for my part I will try to come up with something new and interested to present in the coming months.
Anyone else up for it too?
Dan

Hi Dan,
As far as a subject goes; I’d like to hear some opinions on the various Linux op sys’ available. I have a n old ‘PC Linux Os’ installed (in a dual boot situation with Windows) but it does have some drawbacks e.g. I can’t print from it, amongst other things.
I also have a short story about a financial transaction that went wrong in my favour. It might not have a great deal of relevance to Linux, but in the least it will provoke some thoughts from ‘the team’.
Regards.
Bill Anthony.

Hi,
I've not attended Liverpool LUG before, I'm currently doing some
work on command line video editing on Linux and also looking at using
things like plasma overlays for fast GUI mixing of video streams with some
level of interaction. This may be an interesting topic to some of you and
I'm willing to give a talk, though I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it
for the next meeting.
Kind Regards,
Oliver Stieber.
