I'm interested in this too, just a bit wary about self-configuring things - how do I fix it if it goes wrong?

I think Neil does home hosting successfully.
I believe it helps if you're on a more specialist ISP (andrews & arnold, Zen etc). I think the trick is to be on an IP in a clean IP block - eg you don't want spammy "neighbours".
