Hi,
The Macbook option is quite interesting because as far as I know you can use
BootCamp to run Linux. I have seen ubuntu and Vista running on an intel MAC.
So you could have the best of both worlds OSX, Linux and if you really have
to - Windows.
One aspect to look at is the graphics. I have just installed the Beryl
window manager on my box and that is where the future is going - I am hooked
despite the bugs. This means the 3D card is quite important because it is
used extensively with Beryl so make sure that there are drivers for the card
in your laptop.
I also heard that Lenovo were supposed to sell laptops with SUSE
pre-installed, the quality of their machines is quite high.
