[Malvern] A bit of shell scripting

Hi all,

If possible I'd like to write a shell script that can be run using cron which will download a file (maybe using wget) and save it as something like the following: SynopticChart_14-07-2004 (for the 14th of July 2004). Is there a reasonably simple way to do this in a shell script or something similar?
