Geoff,

Have a look at the links under "Latest News" on www.knoppix.net . You can
download from there or from a long list of mirrors, also they have a
background utility called BitTorrent which downloads in background (I
suspect Home Highway or broadband would be a good idea, there) plus it's the
version currently listed on CDROM at Linux Emporium/ChyGwyn:
http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/cheap.html#Knoppix

Also try the forum posts on www.knoppix.net because there is some feedback
on the package changes - apparently they've dropped the AbiWord open source
WP, which is a pity because it apparently not only handles OOo XML format
files, but has a good WordPerfect filter, and will handle password protected
Word documents, which OOo won't (something to do with OOo being developed
out of Star Office, which is SUN, who are MS licensed, and don't want to
cross licensing lines by including password handling in SO/OOo, whereas
AbiWord is completely independent open source, and has some former
WordPerfect users in the team, hence the WPft handling). Have a look at
http://www.abisource.com/ .
