Robin

OK - firstly sticking my nose into things what are you studying at college -
not anything to do with computing ....

I think there are 3 major areas that needs to be reasearchedresearched

a. How to get the MF tones produced by a phone into a program so that they
can be recognised. I hope that there is some type of detection software or
something within the Hayes modem protocol that will get this information.
- next is to get pre-recorded information passed to the phone line
- and lastly the all important database of information.

I have started to look at the MF tones side of things and have found various
bits of hardware and/or software but nothing that provides an ready
sable - this I should say is both in Linux and Windows.

I am going to do some more digging over the weekend as time permits and see
what else comes up.

Any further ideas or knowledge sharing would be welcome.

But of course the most important thing overall is what is the name for the
project - something like L8-again!

Ian

Hi

I have no idea what software to use - or even if it is possible - but I
think its a great idea!

I travel on the train to college every morning - and I would love a way to
be able to get a report sent to Central Trains/First Great Western Link and
inform them of all their late and cancelled services etc.

Keep up the good work - I'll help if i can!

Robin
