Runs on home and works machines OK, but I can't get higher than 1024x768
display.

Prefer KDE to GNOME, but it's definately OK for general use.  The stripped
down configuration is useful. Have updated my XP OpenOffice installation at
work to 1.1.2 from the Live CD library, along with the PDF Creator utility -
that is one useful bit of freeware!
