Hi Geoff

I use xfce on my Mac and have found it quick and quite easy to customise.
Whichever program you want to use in either Kde or Gnome just open a terminal and type it in, its easier than trying to finmd menu items.
Ther is also a run command which you can acces from the bottom menu bar and via a shortcut which can be activated in the preferences.
