Rather interested in this as my ADSL modem is one of the same.

Was the penetration due to lack of AV/Firewall or do they circumnavigate
this?

This is an SOS message.

I just had a phone-call from Stuart Moore who says that someone has
penetrated his system, and is playing hell with it.
He says that the problem lies in a documented weekness in the Connexant
chip set.

I gave him the modem, but have no expertise in this problem.
(I had given up on that box, and bought a Netgear outer).
Can anyone offer Stuart any advice ?

His system may be down, so telephone might be appropriate (561627).
I will go and Google for iseas.
