[Malvern] Choices.

Hi gang.

I have been looking at the choices on offer with Debian GNU/Linux.

1.   Sarge / Etch
2.    2.4 / 2.6 kernel.
3.    LILO / GRUB.
4.   XFree86 / Xorg.
5.   X11R6 / X11R7
6.   Gnome / KDE / XFce.

Have I missed any ?

Phil - I understand that you often use XFce.
Please let me have your ideas on whether it has any knock-on effects on
setting up  applications intended for other desktops, or anything else.
