Yes it will but you MUST use identical drives, I can raid my 2 identical 
SCSI 18gb drive fine with no issues, but if i try my 2 unmatched 60gb IDE 
drives it fails every time.

It was suggested to me to try attaching the smaller of the 2 non-identical 
drives first and then the larger to see if that would work (by forcing the 
larger drive to use the smaller drives byte count) but i could never get it 
working.
