[Malvern] Hello

Hi Stuart

Welcome to the Malvern mad house!

Firstly though, Barbie, stop poaching our new members OK?!

You'll find us a real mixed bunch of peeps with a wide range of interests
and we have no problem in telling you about them. However, when it gets to
standing up and doing proper like that's a different matter.

Malvern on the outside is quite quintessentially English, but underneath
there are all those interesting elements that makes life more enjoyable!

There are a couple of good real ale pubs and some decent curry houses too,
but if you did your research before coming here I guess you already know
that.

Generally speaking we have two meets a month - one at the Great Malvern
Hotel (GMH) in the centre of town, on the first Tuesday of each month
followed by a visit to Geoff's house on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

To both venues you are cordially invited and we promise not to scare you too
much.

Let us know when you've managed to get your feet under your new kitchen
table and we'll be more than glad to get you involved.

For the time being I suggest lurking on the list and watch what happens.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Stuart, and I'm sure the regular Malvern crew will be delighted to
say hi too, but having read your intro, I couldn't help but reply ;)

Fantastic. Have you ever thought about putting together a talk about
that? Gloucestershire LUG have regular tech meets and would be very
interested in that, Phil is trying to do more tech meet for Malvern LUG
so I'm sure they would be interested, and personally I'd love something
like that for a night at Birmingham Perl Mongers :)

Well the guys usually come up to the Birmingham.pm technical meetings,
and you're more than welcome to come along too. If you're up for doing a
talk, you might like to come and see who we are first before
volunteering ;)

You'll enjoy Malvern LUG then :)

Hope the move goes well.

Cheers,
Barbie.
