I got 0wn3d a few years back on a debian machine. I'd been lazy and
Apache had not been patched for quite a while and they got in on a
known exploit. I was running tripwire and whatever the kiddie was
doing triggered the machine to shut-down. I found the root kit and
still have it if you're interested.
