[Malvern] Emptying the garbage.

I suddenly had the idea that I would like to empty the trash-can on my 
Debian computers.

They each use KDE for the desk top.

Where would the waste-bin/garbage/trash-can  file be located ?

Does it belong to ( i.e. is it the property of)  the Desktop or the OS ?

Konquerer brings up a file called "trash",  but doesn't indicate where 
in the file-system it lives.
It appears to be part of "system:"  whatever that is.

It appears that I am able to select files one by one and delete them, 
but I want to ditch them all, lock, stock, and barrel.

I would prefer a command line solution.
