Perhaps you cound indicate what some of your problems were?  As a desktop
environment I find it absolutely fine (except initially for some minor
bugs, but I fixed or reported those that bothered me)

Also, it seems to be very stable in one of my epia machines. I chose to
install it since woody didn't seem to want to install over PXE on that
machine.

I too hate distro flame wars, but comments such as:

.. only serve to cause them.
