Where are you?
How fast a channel do you really need?

NTL offer 1Mbit/s broadband, with TV channels thrown in for cheap!

Even with lots of you, you'd be hard pressed to notice any contention 
due to the 1Mb link compared to the rates for the rest of the net or the 
source server you're hitting.
