Could be good fun! The interest is there but spare time is a problem :(
Although I do know a chap who's trying to get a computer training/access
project started in NG7 and is in the process of getting funding at the mo .
. .

Do you want to see about this?  We could maybe put something together as
a proposal - maybe also open up the offer and see if we can interest
anyone else, should be able to undercut NTL etc by lots if we have a
pipe of our own.  I did have another idea a while ago about a
not-fo-profit PC supplyer that made cheap net access/word processing
boxes for schools etc.  Get Debian on a few desktops ;).
