Thanks for the advice! See.. I feel silly now. I didn't even get to try that
because about 2 minutes after sent that e-mail, the server continued booting.
It seems it was a problem with NIS waiting for portmap to come up, which it
didn't (I'm not sure why). After (what seemed like) 10 minutes it timed out
and continued booting.

Lessons I have learned (heh): Don't panic so much. Heart attacks at 21 aren't
cool.. and IDE-RAID isn't worth the hassle (with some Promise chipsets at
least). Spend the extra dough and go SCSI.
