[Nottingham] *May* Meeting

I'm all for the NTU theatre. It's a much nicer atmosphere and the theatre
seating makes for a much better presentation.

| have a look at the Mechanics Institute rooms. Their largest room is
| about the same size as the Nottingham Trent lecture theatre, perhaps
| smaller and is of course a proper room, not a theatre. They do not
| have any equipment available such as projectors although there is a
| projector screen. Now, they will be moving to a new building in two
| or so months time so the situation will no doubt change (one change
| is that the large room may increase in price). One big problem is
| that they are already very busy on the first Wednesday of the month
| so if we did want to use their rooms it would involve a change of
| date (to the second Wednesday for instance). There is a bar in the
| building.

| So, in my opinion the Nottingham Trent theatre is much better with
| regards to facilities, availability and general atmosphere and so I
| would propose that the May meeting take part there. Does anybody have
| any objections or better suggestions? Obviously the sooner we decide,
| the sooner we can advertise the event.
