Alright folks. The system is backed up. I've got a few cans o' beer at
the ready... (;->>)
First step:
[gcc322obj]$ ../gcc-3.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr --program-suffix=-332
--infodir=/usr/share/info --mandir=/usr/share/man --enable-checking
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /home/martin/Documents/Downloads/tar/gcc322obj
using "mt-frag"
gcc-3.2.2: unrecognized option `-preferred-stack-boundary=4'
Configuring libiberty...
creating cache ../config.cache
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for makeinfo... makeinfo
checking for perl... perl
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
Now then... Actually, this thing is an AthlonXP (Palomino). The compiler
option is "athlon-xp". So...
How should I change the "i686-pc-linux-gnu" to more accurately specify
my host cpu?
(I suspect that athlon-xp-pc-linux-gnu will cause a foul up...)
Thanks,
Martin
