[Nottingham] SCADA ?

Hi,
    I'm a bit new to all this Linux stuff and I never seem to get any time 
to investigate...so...a quick question - does anyone know of a free SCADA 
package for Linux? Especially once that I can easily adapt to talk to custom 
hardware hanging off the parallel port. Even something like tcl/tk might do, 
if I knew how to get low-level I/O from the printer port!

Any help welcome.
