Oddly install from stage1, resulted in no modprobe, or mkswap commands, in 
spite of 'emerge system' thinking everything was fine.  So I knew / found out 
easily that they are in modutils and util-linux, but if there's anything else 
missing, is there an easy way to look up a command name in a package, to 
emerge it?

Obviously epm -qf /path/to/command can't work if you don't have it installed.
