Dear all,
ShefLuf have just sent me a flier about a meeting they are holding on =
Thursday the 2nd of October.
"Prof Pat Stakem from NASA will be here in Sheffield on the 2nd of October =
to give a talk about his life and work as a space engineer and rocket =
scientist. He will also discuss the use of computers in space. Where it =
started and where it's going to.
GNU/Linux in several different forms has been used on the International =
Space Station. It also forms part of his Flight Linux project..."
Admission is free, but they do suggest it would be a good idea to arrive =
by 6.30pm at the latest.
For more information, I have put the original flier at http://nottingham.lu=
g.org.uk/linux_in_space_oct2003.pdf and the URL given in the flier is =
http://www.sheflug.co.uk/meeting.html , but that doesn't seem to have been =
updated yet...
Anybody interested?
Cheers,
Roger
