[Nottingham] changing channels on wi-fi card

I have just installed a wirless network and an using a netgear ma401 pcmcia
card. It is prism based and works fine using the orininoco_cs driver.

If i try to change the channel using iwconfig i get an operation not 
supported error.
does this mean that the driver doesn't support channel changing at all or is 
this perculiar
to my card?
