ntl works well around here. Cable broadband starting at 300kb/s 
down-link, 64kb/s up-link, and various deals up to 2Mb/s. They are happy 
for you to take any one or all of their services.

Don't talk to me then, I've found Mandrake does what I need (:-))

More seriously... You can let the 'wizards' do their stuff, or you can 
hack the config files directly. I tend to directly hack the configs so 
that I get to see how things work. As always in linux, your choice.
