[Nottingham] PCL file - print via CUPS

I set up a LaserJet 4000 N printer via CUPS using KDE's printer thingy and it 
works fantastic for OpenOffice etc. I have been handed a PCL file and I want 
to print it: how do I perform this miracle? I've googled a fair bit and I 
ain't hit on something yet - the file is large so I don't want to "lpr -P 
hpraw" without knowing its going to spew a million pages of crap - also the 
printer is used by many touchy engineers so I'd rather not kill it!
