Heh, ok Im caught, Im bad {:-P.
To be honest I never have a problem with top-posting, in fact I prefer
top-posted replies, it means i save time scrolling to the bottom when I
already know the subject. If going through a load of emails, the
pertinent bits are always on screen when you flip to the next.
I think bottom-posting is pretty much a hangover from the dead-tree era,
and having a quick look through my mailbox I find almost none that were
bottom-posted. Just IMHO and Im sure many will disagree.

Im not sure this is actually monitored, as I usually exceed this on a
daily basis. In fact over the last month taking a quick look at mrtg I
see I have averaged over this level continually. Maybe Im just lucky.

I find ADSL contention to be very good. I have the 50:1 instead of the
20:1 on the basis Id rather share with 50 people who read email and
occasionally download some pr0n, than to share with 20 people willing to
pay double for their power-usage.
I dont EVER remember a time I couldnt get maximum bandwidth from my adsl
link, even when I lived in London. The cablemodem I have also I dont
remember not ever being able to get maximum bandwidth (although beware
on NTL you will likely lose about 10% of your bandwidth with all the
viruses flying around there, even when my machine is idle I have a whole
load of crap coming down the line.
