Assuming there's already a (correct) lilo.conf on your slackware 
partition...

Boot from a live CD distro, such as Knoppix and then do something like:

$ mount /dev/hdX /mnt/somemountpoint
$ chroot /mnt/somemountpoint lilo
$ umount /mnt/somemountpoint
$ reboot

This is how I've done it in the past, and it WFM(TM).
