That largely depends on what you're hoping to do, I would say.

My very limited experience:
I work for a Linux support and consultancy company and, surprise
surprise, only have to deal with Linux and the occasional BSD with
very few exceptions.

As far as I am aware, none of the businesses we support use Linux in
their offices as normal desktop machines, however.
