Well I've never had a problem restoring from DAT tape, which would very
comfortably accomodate your backup needs here. Then again, to be honest
I've never had a problem restoring from CD-R or CD-RW either - as a
storage medium CDs are cheap, quick, easy, well-supported and any decent
brand should be acceptably reliable.
