[Nottingham] IMAP server selection

Hi

I am looking at options to provide an IMAP-based webmail solution so
that I can manage my email from any of the computers in the house, from
work or from other people's internet connections. It seems that
squirrelmail or, if I can get it to work, hastymail will make the most
appropriate app(s) for the webmail side of this but I am having some
difficulty deciding which IMAP server to choose.

Courier seems a bit too big and complex for my needs, although I have
many accounts, there is only likely to be me using this server.
UW has had some bad press in the past but I can't find anything recent
to confirm/deny these allegations.
Dovecot seems quite good and secure (important to me) although hampered
a little by being not so up-to-date with the standards and a seemingly
small user/developer base.

Has anyone got any hints/tips/gotchas for selecting an IMAP server they
would care to share?

Cheers

-Penfold
