No. It just does it for this session.
Each distribution has its own location for loaded modules on boot -
Debian based distros use a file /etc/modules to decide. One entry per
line, modules loaded on boot.
I've got an Amillo A1630 I've been given to do some work on but since
I'm not hacking on wifi I haven't looked into it much - I know the SuSE
kernel I'm not running does have built in support using some out of
kernel modules one builds - maybe I'll check it out at some point.
