Perhaps when they had time to take out from everything else they do.

Perhaps that everything else includes a lot of time consuming and important
stuff, perhaps it also invloves a lot of quietly supporting other Linux users
without meeting them face to face (apart from at their own PC's, that is).
Perhaps they are even raising the next generation of Linux users.

Perhaps they use computers to achive all the important stuff they have to do,
and to help others achieve important things too. Perhaps they find that more
worthwhile than sitting in room or a pub talking about it.

The meetings are great, yes, but they aren't everyone's priority or
preference, and they aren't (IMHO) the most important aspect of supporting
Linux and Linux users.
