Dear All,
I've read with growing concern the exchange regarding the whole women 
respect thing.  Not wanting to get into a forthright exchange of views 
on-list I would ask that everyone leaves it now (or provides me with a 
very good reason not to off-list).  Everybody should now understand that 
sexism offends some list members, however making this a crusade must be 
just as off-putting.  The point is that we like Linux, full stop. 

We are supposed to be a tolerant group and paraphrasing Wilson the LUG 
is a broad church.  As such the archive over the last few days doesn't 
reflect much of that mentality.  Also using words that rhyme with cluck 
kind of blunts the point you were making, no-one wants to filter out the 
potty-mouthed stuff to get to the meat of the discussion.

I'm really sorry this got blown out of proportion, hopefully we can all 
forget this and move onto more on-topic discussions.
