[Nottingham] Give us a clue

I am not even a newbie - I'm a wannabee!

I have an old laptop that ran 98 but put XP on it, with which it struggles.

Rather than go back to 98 I want to try Linux and sent off for the latest
Ubuntu release. I am pretty useless at computers but even I am suprised by
my inability to remove XP and replace it with Ubuntu. No matter what I try
it won't let me do it.

Is there somewhere in Nottingham I can nip along to who might load up
Ubuntu and rid me of Windows?
