[Nottingham] Video Capture from Composite in Linux

I've been asked to do a video for LSFC, and I'm having issues, I was wondering 
if anyone has any thoughts...

I bought a Leadtek WinFast TV capture card about 2 years ago, and it's always 
accepted RF in, perfect signals.

I now select Compostite1, and plug in the camcorder (it's Hi8, so no digital 
copy) - nothing comes out. I select SVideo, nothing. Composite3, nothing. TV 
still works...

It's using the bt878 drivers, 2.6.12, I presume using v4l2. Applications I've 
tried are: xawtv, tvtime.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.
