...might care to take note that I've ported a patch initially from the
Samba mailing list, but more accurately now from Samba.org's SVN
repository to fix it.

The "official" package is 3.0.23c-1.fc5, mine is 3.0.23c-1.fc5.gef

For the interested, samba server has a nasty habit of segfaulting and
dying if connected to with an @groupname definition in the config file.
The workaround is to use +groupname syntax; the fix is the patch I've
backported from what will become 3.0.23d.

Hope someone, at least, finds it helpful. It drove me nuts for three
consecutive days until the nice Samba people fixed it :)
