Good point - I thought that was interesting. No-one has mentioned
javascript yet. I have done some coding in it for fun and although it
seems straightforward there is a lot of depth and there are
interesting issues to face.

Things like asynchronous behaviour, event handling as well as the DOM
make it interesting, and the ability to make useful web pages makes it
rewarding.
