Hi,
At LugRadio Live, Michael and myself got talking to Kat and David
Goodwin from Pale Purple ( http://www.palepurple.co.uk/ ) and they
kindly offered to give us a talk in early October as a practise run
for when they have to give it somewhere else.
I've completely lost track of what day we normally do things on - so
Martin, could you check availability of the Navigation for the 3rd/4th
of October please?
The blurb Kat sent me is below.
Cheers,
Roger
Title:
Efficient Development in PHP Using Frameworks
Summary:
In today's market, everyone wants or needs a website. Whether to sell
their goods, promote their interests or share information, companies and
individuals want a presence on the web - but as always, they want it
cheap.
As a PHP developer, you want to take the grunt work out of your
application - you want to use tools or existing code to help you to
create as good an application as possible, in the shortest time -
allowing you to give the customer what they want: value for money.
These days there are a vast range of Frameworks and tools available to
automate some of the most repetitive elements of web application
development. This talk will discuss the advantages and disadvantages
of using a framework, highlighting some of the frameworks that offer the
benefits or suffer from some of the pitfalls along the way.
