Software Development Engineer

Prime Function:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the future development of PC
and PDA-based software applications for a young company at the
forefront of developing a new wave of non-invasive wireless medical
devices. The applicant will be part of a small but growing R&D team
at Monica Healthcare and should be able to demonstrate the ability
to develop professional quality PC application software
independently. The applicant should be qualified to at least honours
degree standard.

Company Overview:

Monica Healthcare is a high-tech start-up specialising in the design
of next generation wireless medical devices for real-time monitoring
of expectant mothers. The company has raised over £1.5 Million in
private equity backing and launched its first product onto the EU
market in early 2008. Expansion to the USA will take place following
regulatory approvals by autumn 2008.

Remuneration & Benefits:

£20K - £25K
Responsibilities:
1. Software application development (C++)
2. GUI development
3. IT proficiency – the applicant will also be responsible for
maintenance of the companies IT infrastructure (network, email, VPN,
backup etc)
4. Experience of software coding standards would be an advantage
