[Nottingham] e-commerce software

Hi,

I have been asked to look into e-commerce software for a group selling books, 
music, jewellery and wonder if anyone could give me pointers. I used one 
package years ago but they were take over and I am not sure what is available 
now. A particular need is to be able to make the front page 'interesting' as 
they currently can only list main shop areas without graphics of even 
different fonts.
