[Nottingham] Mega-pixel webcams

a quick google (sorry, "search"!) indeed revealed that it is in fact,
only a 1.3MPixel sensor... the SoaC reveals the cheat: the
interpolation is performed on-die, which means that the 2MP output is
treamed at die speed (ie the progressive framerate of the sensor
itself), further interpolation done offchip for the 12MP stills. That
in itself is an impressive claim, I wouldn't mind giving it a try
myself...

BTW, the SN9C20X Bridge is the same as used in the Creative Live!
voice webcam and the Microsoft VX6000 Lifecam (there's an Ubuntu Howto
for this piece of kit here if it's any help:

Panther GX favours the Microdia driver).
