Interesting that the Intel SSD in particular is held up as a positive example.

There was a lengthy thread on the Aspire One forum 
(http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=303&start=130&hilit=intel+ssd) 
some time ago when people found that theere were two different types of SSD 
in these machines, with no way of telling which you had before buying.   The 
general view was that the Samsung one was far faster than the Intel one - 
under Windows XP.   Under Linux the difference was less marked (and it was 
also pointed out that Intel one consumed far less power).
