Mmmm... Not looking good...

A comment from 2/12/2008:

"I mean V4L2 API: you can get stream, but you can't get snapshots.
Btw, USB 2.0 is a requirement for sn9c20x-based cams"

And 14/09/2009:

[GIT PATCHES for 2.6.32] V4L/DVB updates

V4L/DVB (12707): gspca - sn9c20x: Add SXGA support to MT9M111

which suggests the driver for 2.6.32 will give 1280x1024 pixels
(1.3Mpixels) streamed.

Ofcourse, I'm on 2.6.31...

Jim... Have you got hold of some proprietary drivers or some such that
are doing something different?

Anyone: Any known good mega-pixel webcams that do give full resolution
snapshots for linux?
