[Nottingham] New DNS addresses (Connecting router to Virgin/NTL cable)

Folks,

Don't know if this is going to hit anyone...

NTL/Virgin have or are changing the IP addresses of their DNS servers
supposedly as of 28/02/2010.

Their old DNS addresses are:

194.168.4.100
194.168.8.100

The new addresses are:

194.168.4.123
194.168.8.123


At the moment on my cable modem, both work fine for me although the old
addresses give a faster response than the new server addresses.


If you use DHCP to automagically get your IP address and DNS and gateway
settings, then you need do nothing. The change will be picked up
automatically.

If you use "static" settings or something more elaborate, then you
already know what you are doing :-)
