"LED displays" are actually LCDs backlit by LEDs rather than a
cold-cathode fluorescent as with more commonly known "LCD" monitors. So,
the most environmentally friendly web page for both of those is a white
background with black/coloured text/foreground. Having a black display
just gets the monitor hot with the LCD hard off, trapping all the light
and heat in the monitor.

However, if we were still in the days of CRTs... (Different story.)

So... Nice bright web pages are best!


Aside:

Anyone game for producing an ascii-art RobinTux that we can use as a
phosphor-green mirror image of the old days for the present RobinTux?
