Well, I've got one example with trying to buy a second Acer
AspireOne... Only Windows versions available now and at +£100 or so
over the £140 for the original Linpus Linux version...

Supposedly, DELL and HP are, or are to, offer Linux pre-installed on a
limited range of PCs...
